Byfleet

village

Byfleet is a historic village at the junction of the River Wey and the Wey Navigation. The village has connections to both royal and racing history - Byfleet Manor was a royal palace in medieval times, and the famous Brooklands motor racing circuit lies just to the north. St Mary's Church dates back to the 12th century and contains interesting memorials. The village offers access to the towpath, with walks leading north towards New Haw Lock and south towards Pyrford. The Plough Inn provides traditional refreshment for walkers.
