Weybridge

Where rivers meet

Weybridge marks the end of the navigation--or the beginning, depending on your direction. Here the Wey flows into the Thames near the Old Crown pub, and the character changes. The intimate tree-lined channel gives way to the broader Thames, with boats of all sizes passing.

The town itself is affluent and suburban, with good shops and restaurants. But the real attraction for many visitors is Brooklands Museum, birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. The original banked racetrack, a Concorde you can board, and hangars full of racing history.

For walkers finishing the Wey, the Old Crown makes a fitting end point--a pint on the terrace watching the rivers merge. The Thames Path continues if you're not done walking.

Getting Here

Weybridge station has regular trains to London Waterloo (about 30 minutes). The river confluence is a short walk from the station. Brooklands Museum is about a mile away--walkable, or a quick taxi.
