Toilets

Public toilets are available at Dapdune Wharf (when open), town centre locations in Guildford and Godalming, and at some car parks. Otherwise, pubs along the route will usually oblige customers.

Drinking water

Water points for boaters are located at various points along the navigation. For walkers, carry what you need or plan to buy at pubs and shops along the way. Dapdune Wharf has drinking water available during opening hours.

Picnic areas

Several spots along the towpath have benches with pleasant views. Near locks is often a good bet--there's usually somewhere to sit and watch the activity. The meadows above Godalming are popular for picnics in summer.

Bins

Bins are few and far between. Carry your rubbish with you and dispose of it at home or in town. This applies especially to dog waste bags--don't hang them on trees.
