Fishing Clubs

Several clubs control fishing rights on the Wey. Here's who manages which stretches and how to get in touch.

Godalming Angling Society

Controls around 8 miles of the Wey from Eashing to Guildford, plus some tributaries. A well-established club with good stocks of coarse fish and some trout water. Day tickets available from local shops. Membership waiting lists can apply.

Farnham Angling Society

Manages a 1.5-mile stretch at Churt and Dockenfield on the upper Wey--primarily fly fishing for trout. Club membership required; limited day tickets.

Woking & District Angling Association

Holds rights from Old Woking to Ripley. Good mixed coarse fishing with roach, chub, and bream. Day tickets available online.

Contact details and links for each club are in the directory below. Membership policies vary--some have waiting lists, others are open. Day tickets are the easiest way to try a stretch before committing to membership.
